Wine and Roses is a premier limousine services company headquartered in San Jose, California. Many of Bay Area’s top celebrities, well-known corporations, as well as visiting guests routinely use Wine and Roses as their preferred transportation service. Having used it ourselves, we can attest that their service is indeed of pure excellence.
When they contacted us to assist with recovering their systems, they asked if we knew how to support the Goldmine product. We didn’t, but we knew that we would solve the problem anyway. After all, Goldmine relies on SQL servers and we know SQL servers at expert level. Thus, it didn’t matter to us what the Goldmine issue was. Our reputation for rapid systems recovery was reaffirmed yet again. We identified the root cause as an Active Directory failure. Fortunately, multiple domain controllers are in use at this company, so we were able to salvage a working Active Directory. Indeed, once Active Directory returned online other problems became apparent. Oh, and Goldmine worked immediately.
Systems stability was among top 3 priorities for the management and has already cost them over $140,000 in lost revenue prior to our involvement.
