Lerner & Veit
About Lerner & Veit
Lerner & Veit is a small but well-known law firm with offices in San Francisco, California and around Bay Area. Prior to our involvement, they were running an aging network based on Windows NT4.0 Server, a few new XP Pro workstations, and a few aging Windows 98 systems. The company relied on POP3 for its e-mail use.
We were brought in to migrate the firm to Microsoft Small Business Server 2003.
There is really no such thing as a typical migration. Every client has essential line of business applications, and this one was no exception.
Lerner & Veit are now using the following services
- Network-based billing software works properly
- Remote web workplace enables employees to work from anywhere
- Microsoft Exchange enables shared contacts and other advanced features of Outlook 2003
- VPN for remote access to Exchange
- Voicemail integrated with Exchange
- Network-managed Antivirus
- Users are able to seamlessly access corporate content from multiple devices anywhere
- Backups run and e-mail us the reports
- Active Directory integration with their Ricoh multi-function copier machine to facilitate easier billing and featuring integration with TimeSlips 2006
We have yet to implement
- Remote Exchange ActiveSync synchronization with Windows Mobile 5.0
- Network faxing
